YouthCO’s Board is unique in that we are all under 30. We are a learning board, which means that you do not have to be an expert in a specific area to be the right person for the job. We are interested in youth who have an open mind to sharing, leadership, learning, and responsibility.
Some interesting things about YouthCO’s board are:
- We are a governance board – we have connections with the work of the organization and build relationships with staff and youth involved in programming.
- We meet once a mont
- Each board member ‘champions’ a working committee that works on specific parts of the work YouthCO is doing
- We reserve 2 seats for positive youth and 2 seats for youth under 18
- We put an emphasis on fun, learning and work!
