Donations are a much needed way to keep YouthCO’s peer-driven education and support programs strong. As a non-profit organization, YouthCO depends on government funding, grant applications and community support to operate. Your donations can directly support our programs and their ability to reach youth in BC.
You can become a one time or ongoing monthly donor of YouthCO. And don’t worry if you don’t have a large amount to donate…every little bit helps! (link)
Examples of how your contributions might go to work:
$750 provides enough funding for a training in a rural community outside of Vancouver
$500 sponsors our youth-friendly informational brochures on HIV or Hepatitis C to reach at risk youth throughout BC
$250 sponsors a weekend of leadership and peer education training for a group of 12-15 youth volunteers who will then provide workshops and outreach to other youth in their communities
$100 provides family lunch for 20 people within our organization or an interactive Theatre Troupe workshop at an underfunded school or youth group
$50 covers art supplies for our Aboriginal Youth Project for one arts-based workshop or an HIV or Hepatitis C prevention workshop at an underfunded school or youth group
$25 funds two hours of mentorship project hours for youth in our harm reduction program or prizes for our Harm Reduction Trivia and Risky Business Game Show Style workshop
